Slow progress

Well Gracie seems to have calmed down. I’ve also moved to put their hay in a litter box and changing it three times a day – since i have plenty of hay anyhow. It is strange; sometimes they run out before the four weeks are up (that’s how often the order comes) and sometimes it lasts much long. Maybe it has to do with how yummy the hay is. Anyway I have a quarter of a package left and three that have not been opened.

I’m working on a little photo project and I’m thinking there’s a lot of photos I really don’t need. Who would want to see photos of zoo animals (with no humans in them) for instance? Proof I’ve been there, but otherwise doesn’t make much sense, unless it’s for artwork. Which most aren’t. Not going to leave those to the kids to have to sort out my stuff. lol

I emptied my DVDs out of the shelves they were in and am putting sort containers in it. Two mechanics drawers sets and some small drawers I bought at Dollar Tree a while back. And a couple of trays. Anything small gets put in that shelf.

Right now the most bothersome thing is my electric blanket and the other padded blanket. I love them both, but they are so heavy and keep getting shoved in a corner. One is in a bag and I need to seal it up and put it in storage until winter. The other is just laying around and I need to find a way to package it that I can carry it easily. I think I know of a way – use the old Carnival clothing bag. It’s pretty big, with a handle. It’ll be heavy but I think I can manage. Will do that tomorrow.

I started cleaning out the plastic cupboard on the porch earlier today. Wasps had started to build a nest – apparently a long time ago and it was only about 3/4 inch big. No wasps came out of it. There’s a bunch of things there I will leave with the house – wooden stakes, and a strip of metal, things like that. I may decide to leave the cupboard too – or clean it off and use it on the porch whenever I move. The place I want to move has a little covered porch in front of each apartment. Everyone has their gliders or lounge chairs out there – and decorations.

Went outside to close the gate and noticed it’s a full moon. Funny, I always think of the trips back and forth to Florida when I see a full moon. Partially because we always seemed to travel during the full moon and being the passenger mostly, the clear skies on the way always had that bright full moon that I would sit and stare at. Guess I miss traveling just a little.

We had communion on Sunday. It was a small service since my friend Patty was looking after her son who is in the hospital. We also had a couple other people missing. But it was a good service and a good sermon anyhow. I didn’t go to service in Second Life because I was working on things.

I guess I’m rather tired tonight. I slept “online” last night (leaving second life on and my avatar sleeping in bed – so I can listen to the sound of waves and/or the forest sounds). Unfortunately my business partner in Second life saw I was “on” and sent messages. Those ding the little ringer and woke me up. So I did not sleep all that well. I guess I should have marked me unavailable.

I am slowly making progress in sorting things out here but it’s a little muddled at the moment because there are more things being sorted than places to put them. I guess I should get to bed, after making sure the piggies needs are all met.
