New Years trip

So I overloaded the piggies with hay and drove off to see my daughter, her family and grandkids New Years Day. I got back yesterday afternoon and had a really good time. Overate as usual. lol

I introduced them to my sweetheart/fiance on video and he got to say hello. Katie loves his accent. (smiles) Wayne is Canadian, so this may be a very long engagement – but we are partners in the virtual world and are having a wedding later this month. I’ve got to finish the online invites.

I played electronic games with the family, daughter and I had some good conversations and she plied me with yummies. I showed her my flickr album which consists of mostly the virtual world.

Driving on New Years was fairly easy. The drunks are in jail or sleeping it off and everyone else is off work. So there were few trucks on the road to cause havock. IT was not as smooth on the way back, but mostly okay. I only stopped once both ways, to pick up a bag of small donuts and a coffee for breakfast the day I left. But they don’t come close to my daughter’s Butterscotch Pancakes.

I’m looking online at housing so I can get out of here and yet have Wayne be able to come and visit without any problems. Both he and my daughter want me out of here because of the stairs. So far my worst problem is forgetting to wind up the vacuum cord and *almost* tripping on it a couple times a month. But the place -is- starting to fall apart and I need to get out and sell it. But my sweetie’s first visit will probably be in the house, but I plan to do a lot of showing my favorite places and introducing him to friends.

More later.
