Yesterday We spent the whole day in Minecraft. We worked building a couple of houses during the daytime and then we went to the palace in the evening, replace the “throne room” floor with Netherite. Then we excavated a lower floor. W went off to bed and I finished the rest just after midnight. Would have taken several days doing it by myself.
I liked the shininess of the Obsidian, but it has these weird lines on two of the sides and they don’t line up when you tile a floor with them (Greek mash-up). After looking over several, I decided Netherite would look better and since the floor had not been completely covered, we finished it up.
Since the floor was the ceiling we decided on going ahead with excavating the lower floor, since the top part could be seen. A different floor type will be used for what is going to be (one) of the basements. I have no idea what will be put down there, but probably storages and supplies (for when I play in survival mode. (And yes, we are working in creative mode, because it is far too large a world to ever get done in survival — (and we are seniors, so it’s not like we have 30 years to finish it).
But it wore us out last night – so today we are relaxing at my “Cavy Cove” in AMV. I put a few decorations in, and a “beer boat” that gives you an animated beer. While we sit in the beach chairs. I plan on putting in more such places on the islands. I don’t have any guinea pigs in Amv, other than the one dimensional NPCs I have made… (So if anyone in Opensim knows how to make animated pets, I would appreciate having some furry potatos with wheeky noises.)
