Income changes…
A little writing before bed. Not sure, but I think the annuity I get from mum just stopped. That’s fine, I was kind of expecting it. Actually it may help get me higher on the list for the apartment I want – since they are based on income. Moving will save me about that much per month once I’ve settled, so it evens out. In the meantime, I’m still pretty well set. But it would help to get into a local bank so it is easier to get cash when I need it.
In the meantime I am collecting more stuff for storage and donations. Mostly I am putting away extra kitchen things I don’t need for now, and craft supplies. I’ll be leaving behind anything that is used to take care of the house and yard, so that stuff either gets taken to the basement or the laundry room/shed.
Things are starting to thin out quite a bit or well… the bedroom would be if it wasn’t for the underbed boxes I pulled out. I need to dust under there.
A friend of mine from the senior center apparently died the other day. She was a sweetheart – it wasn’t my best friend Emma, but she was someone I really liked. That makes two people from there who have passed. I need to stop in tomorrow and find out if they know when the funeral is, and of course I plan to go if at all possible. RIP Minnie. I will miss you.
Since I’m in touch with my niece in 2nd life, I found a freebie in there today that I thought she might like, so I sent her the location. She seemed pleased. I am most of the time too busy to attend her 2nd life cheerleading events, but I do want to keep in touch and help out from time to time.
I had a good conversation with someone else this week and sent them an old poem of mine. It took me a while to find it. I have an old WordPress xml file that has a bunch of old ones and I really need to get them into a pdf or files.
Some good news; I had misplaced the dongle that allows me to use flash drives with my ipad and in sorting through stuff I found it in a box. Maybe I can get my iPad cleared off and stop getting the “too big to backup to the cloud” warnings. haha.
I didn’t feel like going out this afternoon, so I missed the local “marketplace” again. sigh… Just as well since by the looks of what was posted, they were selling lots of goodies.
Well it’s after midnight and I need to clean one of the guinea pig cages before bed, since the others have already been done. I trimmed all but one of Hammy’s nails this afternoon – she gives me some trouble and that one was curled and hard to use the regular clippers. I’ll have to get that taken care of or it will affect her feet, if it isn’t already.
I still have a bunch of stuff that belongs to others really. The things mom saved from siblings that she left with us years ago. I realized a lot of it was printouts from photos THEY sent, and so they aren’t going to need those. But real photographs I keep in envelopes. And photos and other things that belong to the ex-husband that I kept and he should have. I didn’t realize I had them or I’d have given them in Colorado before I left. I’ll get them to my daughter at some point and she can handle that. Also things from my son’s childhood including the GED scores.
Still haven’t started the guitar lessons DVD yet. Too busy with the above and in 2nd life. I go to the blues club every evening in second life and listen to the music. There was over 90 people there this even. Last night they had a live event with a live musician. That was cool.
Well I’d best get to cleaning that cage (takes about 20 minutes if I work straight through) and then blog about second life on that one a bit afterwards.
—- One other note, while I am thinking about it (cage parts on soak). I was talking to someone in Ireland (in 2nd Life) the other day about places I went when 3rd ex and I took that European trip. I remember Limerick, St. Mary’s, King John’s Castle. I remember the Giant’s Causeway and Dublin and the Guinness tour and stopping at the Scots-Irish history place. I remember BallyGally castle and the pictures of the house we actually thought about buying. But it’s amazing how much I have actually forgotten since then (2016). I looked at maps and then remembered about the Grange. But I’m sure I’ve forgotten a lot. And then there was England and Paris too…
I’m still grateful for that trip even though we didn’t stay together and I had to divorce. It may be the only time in my life I get that chance, particularly since I have to wait until the piggies are gone so I can travel very much. I love Ireland the more for having seen it and realize how much Virginia is so much like it. Of course I have traveled in Wander in Oculus Quest too, but I need to get a battery pack for that because the internal batteries seem to have a short use life now.
Anyway, just that note while I was soaking part of the cage and now back to work… 🙂
