Yep

Mum’s annuity stopped. I can still do okay, whether or not I move. Because while in my house I am not paying a mortgage. When I get into those apartments, yes I’ll be paying rent. But not homeowner’s insurance, water and trash bill will drop by about $30/month, electric will be half what it is here – and maybe even less (especially in winter where I paid $270 one month, I will be closer to stores so use less gas (maybe even walk in good weather). There’s a lot of things I pay for and don’t use to their fullest extent – memberships and so on. apps I don’t use. It will be good for me to be more mindful and I’ve even put myself on a “Linden diet” in Second Life. :grins:

I took another load of stuff to storage. Still more room left, mostly for smaller boxes and maybe one of the big containers. I have plastic shelving in the back and each side and one of the wire shelving sets that slides in and out. Well partially. I have to lift it a bit to get it past the “lip” on the doorway.

I’ve started to take down some knickknacks and “pretties” and pack them away. I’ll need to pack more boxes at some point. It’d be nice if those apartments would post room sizes online, but they don’t.

I’m reducing my food budget too, but to make up for it I am allowing myself one meal a week from the local family deli and one fancy coffee per week. (I was getting the small chocolate milk to persuade myself to grocery shop, but coffee is better.) I should lose more weight too, which is also good. Once I move, I expect to walk a lot more whenever it isn’t snowing because there are nice places to walk around there that aren’t uphill. Here I have to drive to go walking – not to mention going down the 15 steps.

I’m hoping it rains soon. Cats had sprayed my car cover and I had it on the bottom porch where it got spiders and bugs in it. So I’ve hauled it upstairs and slung it over the porch railing so rain can knock all that stuff out. If it rains hard enough and long enough, it might clean off most of the cat spray too. If not, it’s off to the laundromat to wash with apple cider vinegar later on.

Back to work in both lives and I gotta write down what was spent today. 🙂 It’s good I know how to get by.
